The 2009 season has been great. We started fishing Nantucket at Sankety the 1st week of June with striper limits every day. We limited fly casting, jigging, spin casting and trolling. On June 18th we saw the gulls working at Point Rip on Monomoy and proceeded to catch 40 stripers with ten keepers in four hours. Today Sat. June 20th we duplicated that feat. Our charters for the next few days have been rescheduled due to gale force wind and sea conditions. We start school tuna next week and they are here. A great temperature edge with bait and fish has developed east of Chatham. If the weather will cooperate we will enjoy one of the best fishing seasons in recent memory.

The "MAVERICK" is a twin screw diesel-powered offshore boat with complete electronics, Coast Guard inspected and insured with approved safety gear, full tower, generator, microwave, stove and electric head. We are fully equipped with conventional, light tackle and fly fishing rods for inshore. For offshore big game we provide standup 50's, bent butt 80's and 130's.

We strongly suggest you contact IGFA certified Capt. Jack early with your requests in order to reserve the best dates for the particular saltwater fish you would like to target.  Multi-boat trips are available for corporate events, team building, bachelor parties and family reunions. The Maverick offers full and half day trips for striped bass, bluefish, albacore, bonito and school tuna from May through October. We also offer full day/night charters for Giant Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Shark from June until the seasonal fishing quota is met. You will sail out of beautiful Allen Harbor in Harwich Port on Cape Cod to fish with light tackle on the fabled rips of Monomoy and The Islands as well as offshore sportfishing hotspots like Crab Ledge, "BB Buoy", "BC Buoy" and the Regal Sword. Many custom charters combine watching seals, porpoise and whales as they feed in the same areas we sport fish.
